On June 22nd, 2024, Poggio Corbello had the great pleasure of hosting the wedding of Sara from Follonica and Gerardo from Campania. The couple’s ceremony took place nearby, but the festivities unfolded in our picturesque agriturismo, creating unforgettable memories for the newlyweds and their guests.
The Reception
The festivities began with a delightful aperitif by the pool, where guests enjoyed refreshing drinks and light snacks under the Tuscan sun. This was followed by an impressive buffet of hors d’oeuvres served in the patio area, setting the stage for an evening filled with joy and laughter.
The Dinner
Under the warm glow of our rustic canopy, the wedding guests were treated to a sumptuous dinner. The first course consisted of traditional Tuscan dishes: Pici with Cinta Senese white ragù and Maremma tortelli stuffed with ricotta and spinach, topped with classic ragù. The main course was a succulent beef cheek served with lemon potato cream, a dish that epitomizes the region’s rich culinary heritage.
Dessert and Celebration
Before moving on to dessert, guests enjoyed a refreshing fruit platter. The celebration continued with a buffet of fine pastries, culminating in the cutting of the wedding cake on the patio. The evening ended with coffee, liqueurs and an open bar, allowing guests to dance and celebrate late into the night.
